Karla and Jose first met at Cuba Libre Restaurant in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Jose was not expecting to meet anyone that night and Karla was a little hesitant to come out because she wasn't feeling well, but nonetheless she made it out.  Before Karla even noticed Jose was there, she caught his eye as she was dancing with one of her girlfriends.  Karla looked very stunning, gorgeous, and intriguing in her white dress as she danced from one song to another.
Jose knew that if he didn't approach her, he may lose the opportunity to have a dance with her and potentially a small conversation that could come out of it.  Jose finally approached Karla and asked her to dance a bachata that was playing and she agreed to it.  From that point forward they became inseperable dancing from one song to another.  Karla immediately noticed there was something different about Jose through his manerisms and gestures while Jose's interest grew with each smile and laughter from her.

What turned into 3 hours seemed like 1 hour for the both of them, leaving them wanting to continue their time together.  Upon Jose asking Karla for her number, Karla mentioned she currently didn't have a phone and therefore could only give him an old phone number and email address.

Jose initially thought this was her way of not wanting to maintain contact but regardless they both said  "see you later" instead of "goodbye".  Jose gave the email a try the very next day and sure enough Karla replied.  The emails then turned to text messages and phone calls once Karla's new phone arrived. 
Karla wasn't too optimistic in the beginning thinking this wouldn't last long, especially with Jose living in Virginia and her living in New York.  Well Jose proved her wrong with actions speaking louder than words.  The long distance became a short distance with their commitment to each other growing stronger everyday.

From what started into a bachata dance turned into an eternal love they both have for each other till this day.
